Our man, Park Sihoo-ssi loves his food, especially meat! So of course he would love his Korean barbie (BBQ)! Remember my earlier article “Park Sihoo and his Korean barbies”? So it was inevitable that he would choose a Korean barbie restaurant, one of his favourite, for us to dine in during our tour of Hoo Factory!
For food, Park Sihoo-ssi will go out of his way. And this 삼봉 푸줏간 Sambong Butcher Korean beef BBQ is about an hour’s drive away, in the outskirts of Seoul, in Namyangju city in Gyeonggi-do. It is close by to the Namyangju Film Studio 남양주 영화 촬영소, which may be why we see a lot of autographed photos of Korean stars, including Park Sihoo-ssi’s hanging on their walls.
Famous for its Korean beef, all cuts, all styles, we had our fill of choice cuts specially on the request of Park Sihoo-ssi to be enjoyed by his visiting fans! The purest cut of succulent, juicy Korean beef presented on a platter, sans marinate, to preserve its freshness. BBQ over a slow charcoal grill to your personal liking – rare, medium, medium rare or well done, then sprinkle a little salt, pepper or dip it in a little sesame oil and voila! Melts in your mouth goodness! Or if you prefer, wrap it in the freshest leafy greens, add your choice of condiments from raw garlic to marinated radish with a dash of thick, spicy ssamjang 쌈장. Hmm, hmm! Yummilicious!
And 육회 Yukhoe or Korean beef tartare was also on the menu. Again, the freshest and most tender beef of the day is thinly julienned with the fat removed, then mixed with seasoning, then put on top of a nest of bae or Korean pear stripes and topped with a raw egg. Not really into raw beef, I had to try anyway since it had been specially ordered by Park Sihoo-ssi! Tasted ok…but will not be my personal favourite. I don’t think my stomach is lined for this 🙂 Kekeke!
As with a Korean meal, there was no shortage of banchan and tofu jjiggae or tofu stew.
Overall, great food for the soul (Seoul) and a good recommendation by Park Sihoo-ssi! Thumbs up!
Then as the meal came to a close, all expectations were to see Park Sihoo-ssi, even though the original itinerary only indicated maybe we get to see him, maybe we won’t, no promises. But our man did make an appearance, albeit a very short one! He actually came all the way!
He was up on the second floor of the restaurant! I heard his voice and laughter before I got to see him. He gave us all a wave and made his way downstairs into the extremely cold carpark where we were waiting in anticipation.
And inevitably, he got surrounded! No quick get-away, no letting him go for sure, his fans! Poor chap, I don’t think he was expecting this, so a little disconcerted. But gracious him waved, smiled and shook hands as he made his way to his getaway car! I was too far away…but my trusty iPhone 7 plus did not act up on me even though it was very cold, my hands were freezing! Despite the darkness, it gave me some fairly ok photos to share!

厚Hoo的爱食
我们的男神施厚君是吃货,特别爱食,尤其是肉!所以当然他非常喜欢韩国烧烤barbie!还记得我早前的文章“施厚君的韩国芭比”吗?所以理所当然的他会选择一家自己喜欢的韩国barbie餐厅介绍给粉丝们在参观厚工厂之旅中享用!
对于食物,吃货的他可以到处找好吃的地方,不管多远。而这家삼봉푸줏간Sambong韩牛肉烧烤餐馆好远,在首尔的郊区,在京畿道的南阳州市,离首尔大约一个小时的车程。它靠近南阳州Namyangju电影制片厂남양주영화촬영소,可能是这样,可以看到很多韩国明星亲笔签名的照片,包括施厚君的挂在墙上。
这是家著名的韩牛餐厅,所以不管牛的哪个部位和吃法,都是顶级,而这次是专门根据施厚君的要求定制菜单,以招待他到访的粉丝们!最纯,多汁,最新鲜的韩牛摆在盘子上,没有腌渍,以保持牛肉的新鲜度。在慢木炭烧烤着,由个人来控制自己喜爱的烤熟度- 一分熟,三分熟,五分熟, 七分熟或全熟,然后撒上一点盐,胡椒或蘸一点芝麻油。瞧!好嫩,融化在妳的口中哦!或者,如果喜欢,可以把牛肉包裹在最新鲜的绿叶蔬菜,添加自己选择的调味料,如生蒜,腌萝卜等,加上一点厚辣酱ssamjang쌈장。嗯,嗯!太好吃啦!😋
而육회Yukhoe或韩国牛肉鞑靼也在菜单上。那天最新鲜和最嫩的牛肉,削掉脂肪,然后用调味料混合,排放在一个削条的韩国梨巢上,配上一粒生鸡蛋。我不是非常喜爱生牛肉,但,因为是施厚君特别点的,就得品尝一下!OK啦,但不会是我个人的最爱。因为不合我的胃口 🙂 Kekeke!
就如平常的韩国餐一样,少不了小菜banchan和辣豆腐锅。
总体来说,施厚君的推荐非常棒!给大拇指赞!
用完晚餐后,大家都期望施厚君会出现,即使原来的行程只表明也许可以看到他,也许不会,没有任何的承诺。但我们的男神确实出现了,虽然是很短的几分钟时间!
他在餐厅的二楼上!还没看到他本人,已经听到他的声音和笑声。他在二楼的天台给在楼下站在极端寒冷的停车场里的我们挥手了,然后就下楼出来停车场。
不可避免的,他一下子就被包围了!无可逃脱,因为厚粉们都不让他离开!可怜的小生,觉得他没有预计到,所以有点受困的感觉。但还是亲切的向我们挥手,微笑和握手,慢慢往等着他的车走过去!我离他太远了,只能用喔信赖的iPhone 7拍摄几张照片,即使是非常冷,我的手都快冻僵了,背景非常黑暗,但拍出的几张还可以分享的!

Restaurant, very beautiful! The weather is cold, evening photos, clearly visible! Although at the moment to share, or feel the excitement, surprise, ebullience, accompanied by true! Moment of participation, watching, will make a sense of happiness, double bar!
Today’s post title made me smile Nance Phua. Two different words, two different languages, but with the same pronunciation! Agree Wilma. Nance’s articles are always so well written with such in depth details I often can close my eyes after a read and imagine that I was there in the midst of the happenings she has narrated. No exception this round – wonderful account so much so I can smell the aroma from the Korean hot dishes and feel it warming my heart against the bitter cold of late autumn/ winter. Yes, the pics of PSH snapped in the dark are great stuff – closed up capturing his face from various angles. Well done Nance.
OMG, just finished my lunch, and now reading and looking at the photos with K. delicious BBQ, PSH has recommended to his fans to eat at his favourite restaurant , has made me wish to eat them , or at least taste them. Nevertheless Nace, your accurate description of the dishes you ate, PSH’s appearance at the restaurant to see by himself how his fans enjoy the meal, his meeting with his fans in the deep cold weather, and their enthusiasm to see him in person, made this dinner unforgettable for all of you.
