Caution: Long article and only in English as it was in the wee hours of this morning that I managed to finish up this article! Not perfect as I was half asleep as I wrote! Apologies for any typo or grammatical error. No photography was allowed during the event, so you will not get anything taken of the event except where allowed.
From the time we stepped off the Shinkansen high speed train on arrival in Myoko, we have found this quiet and remote corner of Japan simply magnificent. We were there to attend our favorite actor Park Sihoo-ssi’s Enishi magazine’s “Lucky Seven” event, a magnificent place to celebrate seven years of accomplishment!
The “weather is good” as what our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi had said about Vancouver, Canada. The same can be said about Myoko only that it was extremely hot! We saw clear blue skies and everything nice while we were there at the Lotte Arai Resort where the event was held. Even though it was off season as this is a ski resort, the natural beauty of the surroundings presented yet another side to this place, lush greenery insead of white covered snow. Everything was clean and green, though the bad was since it was off season, many facilities were not available. My stressed out, highly tensed body could have enjoyed a relaxing massage except that the spa was closed.
Yesterday morning we did this adventure exercise to get to know more of this resort by going to specific places to get our Enishi passports stamped. The weather was hot and we did work out a bit of sweat but were sweetly rewarded with a signed photo of our gorgeous Oppa.
We had the whole day afterwards to rest and relax. Some of us caught up with fan friends whom we have come to know after attending so many of Park Sihoo-ssi’s events. And of course, the key subject we talked about was none other than our favorite dude! Others went to take a dip at the resort’s onsen or hot spring. Hmmm…I wonder, did our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi also did that? Or was he diligently preparing for the programme for last night?
After a scrumptious buffet spread of either Western or Japanese dinner, we refreshed ourselves before heading out to the open square where the main event would take place. It was a magnificent venue to host this event outdoors, smack right in the middle of the resort and having views of the mountain ranges beyond, with its lush forestry!
When all the lights dimmed, the lights on the tubing slope lighted up and we saw a small lone figure sliding down the slope. Was that our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi? It was really too far away for us to clearly discern. Then when the figure hit the base of the slope, the lights blacked out for a few minutes and then came back on. We then saw our Oppa walk the red carpet towards us, where we were all seated, around the stage area. Before he made his way up the stage walking through his audience, he lighted up the bonfire to signify the start of the Enishi Lucky Seven event. What a magnificent entrance!
Our Oppa was dressed casually in light blue jeans and matching jacket with a white tee and black knee high boots. He thanked everyone for coming and was happy to see many of us coming every time. It was his first time in Myoko. The weather was good and the day before, he actually managed to walk for two hours taking in the resort’s natural surroundings.
He thought having an outdoor event was a great idea, what with the natural breeze, the smell of smoke and the floating ash from the burning wood of the bonfire.
He shared that after the last meeting with his fans for his birthday event in April 2019, he had completed a reality TV show “Amazing Journey with Pets”, which was playing as he spoke on Channel A, travelled to Canada for the filming and then taken a one-month break in the US of A.
On the “Amazing Journey with Pets”, he liked the concept as he wanted to show everyone the real Park Sihoo-ssi and not his drama characters. At home, he doesn’t have much to do except feed and play with his cats Jami and Dami. The emcee Kim Tei teased him and said he had gone to buy lots of things through online shopping so that he could have things to do at home. He said he went shopping overseas and bought the stuff. It got delivered together so it seemed like he did a lot of shopping.
During the filming of the reality TV show he had a microphone clipped to him all the time and it made him very conscious. The mike was picking up sound vibes all the time – when he was on the phone, or went to the toilet, everything that he did, so it was rather tiring. There were also so many cameras in his home capturing everything, whether he wanted to show or not.
Our Oppa, Bonggu’s young master Sihoo, ratted on his Buyeo pup. He said that Bonggu was very obedient at home and would take his lead and obey his commands. However, Bonggu was the total opposite in Canada, the rebel pup. He did everything the opposite of what they wanted him to do and was not co-operative with the cameras. He avoided and looked away from the camera whenever he could to the extent that the crew had to let Bonggu do what he wanted and only filmed him when he stopped.
Being from the country, it was difficult for Bonggu to get used to city life. He was really scared of water and would run away when he could. On the last day of filming when they went canoeing, Bonggu was in such a hurry to get out of the canoe when he sighted the pier that he jumped out of the canoe and fell into the lake. Everyone had to scramble to save him and get him onto the deck. Poor Bonggu! We caught his clumsy jump in a photo that showed him hanging by his front paws on the concrete of the landing platform.
We also saw a photo of an obedient Bonggu being petted on the head by his young master Sihoo. But his young master said Bonggu was really disobedient. He won’t listen to his young master and won’t wait for him on walks as he did in Buyeo. In some ways, Park Sihoo-ssi felt that it might have been an easier journey if he had brought his cats, Jami and Dami! However, he also complimented Bonggu being so natural in injecting a sense of humour to a reality TV show.
We also saw our dashing Oppa on a horse in a photo shoot with a background of double rainbows. He said that ride on the horse was magnificent and they galloped at high speed and saw the rainbows at the end. He considered it a sign of good luck. All in all, the Canadian trip was short but a lot of interesting things were accomplished during the journey.
Photos of his other travel show in Ishigaki that is currently playing on KNTV in Japan was shown, of him playing the local guitar and with a monkey on his shoulders. He boasted that he is a man even a monkey likes. And that monkey nicely rewarded him with a “piece of gold” by shitting on him! Kekeke! 😂
A couple of quizzes that had our Oppa imitating dances and humming off-tune songs where everyone was a winner. And our Oppa won us a free for all photography session when he pierced an orange through an imitation sword and kicked off a bottle cap from a bottle which his manager was holding. All these accomplished with one shot! Wah, Oppa! So, we got to “shoot” our Oppa on stage! Yeah! Thank you!
Park Sihoo-ssi also sang two songs, both from his dramas. One was “When the Wind Blows” from “My Golden Life” and the other “Cloudy Memories” from “Babel”. Both were beautiful renditions that came straight from his heart! I wonder, was he reliving his characters and the agony they had to go though as he sang?
He shared photos of his Enishi photo shoot the previous day and talked about his basketball skills, or rather his non-existent basketball skills. Laughingly he shared how bad he was, not able to net even a single ball even though he tried many times. Worst, he even got knocked on his forehead by a rebouncing basketball.
He thought the concepts for the Enishi shoots were refreshing and was happy to have the moral support of his fans who were there to watch the shoots. He showed a photo which he said his fans would be imitating his pose as soon as today. This was one where he was photographed as a silhouette behind window curtains. Hahaha 😂, our Oppa sure knows his fans well! He should, as I am sure he has been told how his fans laid and had the exact same pose as him for the camping and BBQ shoot he did the other day! Anyone of you already taken the silhouette curtain pose? Please share!
The seven winners for the “Lucky Seven” draw were announced and Park Sihoo-ssi had to do something for each of the winners based on what they drew from a lucky draw box. It ranged from a one-on-one photo session, Park Sihoo-ssi’s autograph on the lucky seven card, him saying “I love you”, him giving a neck massage or hand massage, him giving a 10-second hug and best of all, holding hands and walking round the audience. Guess who won the last? Oppa’s gentleman fan! Hehehe! 😂The two of them, were totally embarrassed and tickled at the idea of two men holding hands and walking together! Kekeke! 😂
We ended the evening with fireworks! Those beautiful flames litted up the dark skies of the natural forests to the oooohs and ahhhhs of the audience and even our Oppa!
Then the finale…hugs! It was a long queue for that one-on-one hug, but worth all that anticipation!
A magnificent event in Myoko? Absolutely!

It s sounds like a romantic and magic night. Thanks sharing. I laugh a lot about his rascal dog kekeke
Absolutely magnificent, wonderful, simply great. Thanks Thanks Thanks Nance (the music of Thanks Thanks Thanks in my head) to your once again Brilliant Brilliant report and sharing. As we said many times before, reading your report I felt like I was there. And instantly jolted the memories of my 2016 Enishi of PSH entrance with light blue jeans and jacket with a white t inside. I am sure other fans will sweetly and fondly remember those other Enishi outdoor night events of Enishi. We all each have our fragment of fond and sweet memories. The photo you shared of the outdoor seats reminded me 2016 the chairs had to move indoor due to rain…..All very good, big thumbs up to everyone : PSH, Mentor, his crew, and every attending fan. Also, to add, the part about Bonggu’s “disobedience” in Canada did not surprise me one bit. That’s only natural from a 10 month pup whose master is PSH’s father. Even if the father had been there in Canada, the dislike of water and camera is only natural even for a very seasoned old dog like my Bob, Bob didn’t like water, didn’t like camera and exerted more of his insistence of doing his own thing when he was in a strange environment even when he was senior in years. Bonngu is only a 10 months puppy who was still trying to sooth his nerves of that long flight. If PSH had brought his Jami and Dami to Canada, no one could assure the reactions of the cats either, the cats too themselves might be on high strung nerves having travelled long distance in a cage and the new and completely strange environment. Jami already snapped at PSH in her very own home environment, what better filming outcome if it were the cats in Canada, it’s a no real certainty answer. But, yes, completely agree with PSH that no doubt Bonggu didn’t do the things he did back in Buyeo, but Bonggu’s presence in the show on the streets, water, skybridge and seaplane, these are very very difficult to achieve type of experiences, and added much humour and enjoyment for those of us watching on. Watching Bonggu walked courageously and walking forward in that mid air bridge, that itself, Bonggu should be awarded the best animal actor of the year. I would say perhaps 7 out of 10 dogs would never put forward their front legs onto that bridge. Dogs are exceptionally sensitive to environment and to expect them to be fearless and walking like what Bonggu has done, most of us won’t even try (coz it’s a sure failure thing). Yet PSH did not end up needed to carry Bonggu on his arms all the way across that bridge, they actually stroll happily across. What A Sight! Bravo. I can go on and on, the seaplane, many dogs would have pissed themselves, wet the plane………but good boy Bonggu, he looked out the window with a normal face, I didn’t see drooping ears and tail in between his legs……Good Boy Bonggu
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”[Confucius]. Paraphrasing his words:”Everything was beautiful, magnificent, amazing at Park Si Hoo-ssi’s show dedicated to the 7th Anniversary of “ENISHI’, but unfortunately not everyone could see it . And although I couldn’t attend this magnificent , unforgettable event with Park SI Hoo-ssi at Myoko, Japan, reading Nance’s detailed report I could feel the emotion, the tumult, the excitement , I could feel as if I was there. Thanks Nance for sharing the magnitude, the unique dimension of Park Si Hoo-ssi’s show, as he usualy does to enjoy his fans.❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
Nance, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us yet another splendid coverage of Park Sihoo-ssi’s Enishi Event last evening. His seventh! What a perfect way to cap his fantastic seven years of the warmest relationship he has fostered with his loyal devoted fans from JOFC and other fans as well. You have spared nothing no less your beauty sleep to give those of us who have been eagerly awaiting for your feedback and reporting the absolute best and factual account of this Enishi Event of his and we are completely satisfied with what you have related. It’s only second to actually being there in person to see our favourite man in person. Having been there for his previous Enishi Event in Jeju on 3 Sept 2017, I can attest just how magical his Enishi events are – the atmosphere, the ambience, the sudden spot light on the special man as emerged to take centre stage ( and occupy the centre of our hearts) immaculately attired, flashing his famous sparkling smiles, the opportunity to be in his presence for a couple of hours … as he jokes and sings and teases and tells wonderful stories to his enraptured enamoured listeners… this Maestro continues to weave magic in every m encounter with his fans.
This round glad to know of his interesting remarks about his Bonggu -ya. But frankly, like Chai Hua, I am in fact happier that his dog was given a free rein to be an outright rascal in the show Amazing Journey with Pets rather than be a well rehearsed completely compliant boring puppy. What with Sihoo-ssi’s remarks he enjoyed taking part in the programme because it allowed viewers to have a deeper insight ( 4 episodes full ) of the real Park Sihoo in person and not the character he is dictated to act out in each of his dramas, I am truly pleased that we get double bonus when watching the show – Park Si Hoo in his real character and likewise his rascal Bonggu -in all his honest unpretentious mischievous streaks. And oops I have not even started to comment on his Jami and Dami. Quite awesome characters these 2 felines are. Sihoo-ssi is so fortunate … surrounded by love
Dorothy Ooi With this comment Dot you have added solid endorsement to Park Sihoo-ssi ‘s both Enishi and his currently running Amazing Journey With Pets. Both yours and Nance ‘s write ups are superb 👍😘
Hardly able to match Nance’s solid masterly works. I only (and humbly) add an occasional trimming here and a decor there
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I should have been there.
Handsome 🤗 Happy Sunday 😀💙✨

What a detailed interesting account of Sihoo-ssi’s 7th Enishi Event in Myoko. He truly gives value for money fan meets, always something new up his sleeves! But the magnificent fireworks at the end are an awesome constant 🌠🎇🎆As you look up at the darkened sky ….suddenly a dazzling display of sight and sound …..
🥂Cheers!!😍
👏
❤️❤️❤️
Many thanks Nance for taking the time and trouble to share this detailed and fresh from the oven write up. As always PSH never fail to thrill his fans with his spectacular performance ! It was certainly a night filled with lots of fun and happy memories for his fans ! As for PSH’s comments on Bong Gu, can’t blame Bong Gu for being both scared and excited with his new surroundings. Everything smells and looks different from Buyeo. No trees or grass , everywhere is concrete. And that big blue ocean which smells so awful of salt water and the sound of roaring waves which is unheard of in Buyeo, poor Bong Gu is scared stiff ! But so far Bong Gu has put up a brave front and like any dog he is keenly checking out his new surroundings and sniffing out new doggy friends in Canada ! So Bong Gu ah, never mind young master SiHoo’s complaints, just enjoy yourself in Canada ! And to young master SiHoo thank you for being patient with Bong Gu ! It is obvious from the Amazing Journey with Pets show , you love all your furkids, even grouchy ones, and dote on them. It is heartwarming to see you kiss and hug Bong Gu before good night and consoling poor Bong Gu when he got whacked and rejected by a not so friendly dog . See you and Bong Gu again this Saturday 14 Sept19 Ep 5 on Channel A for more of your adventures in Canada ! 😃😃😃👍👍👏😘💖💖💖🐶🐾🐾
