Sometimes, out habits die hard, especially when you like what you do. And our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi is so used to working with actresses and beautiful ones at that, he has to get used to not having an actress as his co-star! Kekeke! 😄

Disappointed to work with Jaeyoung. He is no actress.
Park Sihoo made a big mistake. He has always been a general manager who melted women’s hearts with sweet romance. But the general manager was only a shell. A serial killer with a cold smile that chilled you to the bone lay beneath.
Park Sihoo played Lee Dooseok, a serial killer in the movie “Confession of Murder”, (Director Jung Byunggil), when the statute of limitations has expired. Although he was a criminal, with his handsome appearance and gift of the gap, he became a celebrity.
Park Sihoo’s appearance, revealed through the trailers and various still photos, was definitely different from his existing image. He who always appeared cheerful was presented as somehow gloomy. And the half-moon smile, often called the “flower smile,” turned into a creepy “murderer’s smile.” Did he feel the burning thirst in his throat? Park Sihoo was more serious and attractive than ever. He was enjoying the cool feeling of drinking a tangy soft drink.
Thirsty for double personality, psychopath, and unconventional roles
He has solidified his position on TV with various dramas such as “The Princess Man”, “Queen of Reversals”, “Prosecutor Princess” and “Iljimae”. He captivated the hearts of female fans and gained as much popularity as Yonsama (Bae Yongjoon) as a Hallyu star. However, Park Sihoo felt empty. He has been struggling with his current status and was greedy for more. He wanted a movie challenge.
Park Sihoo showed a sparkling enthusiasm for his first movie. He might have a fear of new challenges, but he was full of enthusiasm. “I really wanted to do a movie and I can feel the passion of a rookie actor, ” he said
“I think I have come across a character that I really wanted to do and I wanted to play a unique character with a dual personality of a psychopath. In a drama, I wanted an unconventional role in which the dual personality changed dramatically, so I voiced it out. It was unexpectedly that such a good opportunity came my way so quickly.” (Laugh)
Park Sihoo made his debut with KBS2 drama “Sassy Girl Chun Hyang” and has entered his seventh year in the industry. He was only too happy to take on new challenges. He looks like an innocent boy. When asked about his other dramas and film shoots, he grinned and said, “They are really different.”
He said, “Dramas have schedule-driven filming, but movies have more time. I was very happy that I could shoot all the scenes with great attention to detail. It was good the director and the actors can communicate frequently. Filming of a drama is usually tight so it is taxing.”
“It doesn’t mean that dramas are more difficult than movies. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. But the biggest thing that touched me was the time gap. Originally, I like to think deeply and shoot several times, but dramas are difficult due to the conditions. Looking at it like that, I think a movie fits my preference more. Haha.”

I heard my sweet smile was like that of a murderer
Anything is difficult at first. However, Park Sihoo chose to take the thorny path even though it was difficult. He seemed soft like tofu, but he was the murderer who made the murders look like a “melon exhibition”. It was really unexpected.
Park Sihoo confessed, “If it weren’t for the murderer, I wouldn’t have said “I am the murderer”. He was surprisingly a conventional man with a strong heart.”
“It was during the second half of the filming of KBS2’s “The Princess’ Man”. At that time, I was physically exhausted, so I couldn’t afford to do other works. There were many overnight shoots, so I just wanted to rest. The company sent me the “Confession of Murder” script. Actually, I didn’t even open the first page (laugh). At that time, I was busy reading the script of “The Princess Man”,” he embarrassingly revealed.
“Confession of Murder” was a work that almost got buried in the mounting scripts he received. After hearing about Lee Dooseok by chance, his ears picked up. Park Sihoo hurriedly read the script and was immediately tempted to do it. “It was an unusual piece of work. The feeling just “pop”.”
“I had expectations that this character will be able to show a different side of me. Above all, I can relate to it. A scary empathy that seemed like it can happen. But I guess I was too immersed in the shoot. When I saw the poster, I was worried as I looked like a murderer with that smile. In the past, people liked it, saying it was a soft and sweet smile, but now they say that smile has the spirit of a murderer. I am a little worried. It is an image I created. Haha.”
Jaeyoung is a neighborhood type, like an ordinary person
To Sihoo Park, the movie came to him like a big mountain, and there was a bigger existence protecting the mountain. And Jung Jaeyoung was like that. With the depth of acting of Jung Jaeyoung who was seen as a “trusted actor”, acting beside him was not easy.
Jung Jaeyoung was detective Choi Hyunggu who was responsible for the serial murder case. He had suffered for 15 years from guilt of not catching the criminal and was angry at Lee Dooseok, who disappeared after leaving a terrible wound on his face. In particular, Park Sihoo and Jung Jaeyoung caught the attention of the audience with their opposing images.
The fierce confrontation between a gentle murderer and a tough detective. Park Sihoo did not forget his encounter with Jung Jaeyoung., He confessed, “I was really happy to hear that Jung Jaeyoung was cast in the movie. It was reassuring to be able to work with Jung Jaeyoung, who boasted of having ticket pulling power and I could leverage on this.” Park Sihoo, who safely passed the difficult shoots, thanks to Jung Jaeyoung, described him as a “neighborhood brother.” Rumor had it that their simple and easygoing nature created a friendly bonding.

“During the first filming, I was very nervous as I thought he would be a scary senior because of his cold expressions. But he was a really nice and delicate senior. He was so caring and was a fun and easy-going man. Jaeyoung likes to talk and I like to listen, so we get along well. I thought he would be blunt, but he was comfortable like a neighborhood brother. When I first met him, he came comfortably wearing slippers and sportswear, and I burst into laughter at the sight. He seemed so much like an ordinary person. I just met the ordinary man Jung Jaeyoung. Haha.”
Park Sihoo was blessed to act with actresses such as Moon Chaewon, Kim Namjoo, and Kim Soyeon. Jung Jaeyoung joked saying, “It must be difficult to work with a rough actor after working with beautiful actresses.” Park Sihoo tactfully responded, “Of course, I was disappointed.”
“I’m really disappointed. Do you mean there is no romance with an actress? Honestly, it will be a pity. I always have a love line with a beautiful actress, but now, I can only film tough actions with a neighborhood brother (laugh). But after doing a lot (Nance: of love lines) in the dramas, I guess it is good to give it a rest for once. Haha.”
