Experienced and well skilled line-up of key cast

Finally! Yesterday, TV Chosun confirmed the key cast for their upcoming historical drama “Wind, Cloud and Rain 바람과 구름과 비” through a news release that swarmed the Korean media.

The drama is directed by PD Yoon Sangho whose past works included “Different Dreams”, “Saimdang’s Light Diary”, “Hundred Years’ Bride” and ‘The Story of the First King’s Four Gods”. The script is written by Bang Jiyoung who also wrote “Diary of a Night Watchman”. Playing key roles in the drama will be Park Sihoo, Ko Sunghee, Jun Kwangryul and Sung Hyuk.

“Wind, Cloud and Rain 바람과 구름과 비” is a drama set in the Joseon dynasty about the use of fortune telling in the struggle for power among kingmakers. In the age of scientific civilization in the 21st century, the drama will focus on meditation and physiognomy that still remain mysteries to this day.

Park Sihoo-ssi as a man who wants to create destiny

Our favorite actor Park Sihoo-ssi takes on the male lead role of Choi Cheonjung, the greatest fortune teller and physiognomist during the Joseon times. Choi Cheonjung came from a prestigious family who fell into misfortune and he had to live in exile as a lowly fortune teller. With his fortune telling ability, he reinvented himself and rose to become one of the most powerful men during the Joseon Dynasty. A hero unrecorded in political history, Choi Cheonjung read the fate of Joseon and tried to change the fate of the nation for the people. He gave his life to the woman he loved. 

Ko Seonghee as one who wants to escape fate

Ko Sunghee-ssi plays the role of Lee Bongryeong, the daughter of Cheoljong, the 25th King of the Joseon dynasty. Other than being of noble birth and beautiful, she also possesses mysterious spiritual powers. With the mysterious ability that God bestowed upon her, she could read the fates of man. But this will become a curse when she succumbs to human desires. Her ability is exploited and abused, but will eventually help the people of the world as she worked together with Choi Cheonjung who will become a kingmaker. 

Jun Kwangryul as a man who wants to control fate

Veteran actor Jun Kwangryul-ssi will take on the role of Lee Haeung, the Heungseon Daewongun (Prince of the Great Court). With eyes keen as a tiger, he also has a king’s fate but lives as a countryside man. He hides well his compelling desire for power. When he comes to know of Choi Cheonjung’s ability, he wants to partner with him to establish his son as King. 

Sung Hyuk will play the two-faced character, Chae Inkyu, who is both friend and foe to Choi Cheonjung. He is the adopted son of the Kim family in Jangdong. Although a good friend of Choi Cheonjung, he also covets Choi Cheonjung’s position and desires his woman. But his ever growing, abnormal hatred and malice towards Choi Cheonjung led eventually to the downfall of his family.

Sung Hyuk as one who plays with fate?

“Wind, Cloud and Rain 바람과 구름과 비” is already drawing attention with experienced and disciplined actors and actresses cast in lead roles. They stand eager for the fierce battle involving the lives of those who can read fate, those who want to escape fate, those who  manipulate fate and those who will resist fate. 

“Wind, Cloud and Rain 바람과 구름과 비” is scheduled for broadcast on 9 May 2020.

朝鲜电视TV Chosun 昨天终于发布新闻，确认了即将播出的古装历史电视剧“风，云和雨 바람과 구름과 비”的主要演员阵容。

“风，云和雨 바람과 구름과 비”由曾经执导过“异梦”，“师任堂：光的日记”，“百年新娘”，“王四神記”等作品的尹尚浩导演执导。由“更夫日志”的方志英担任编剧。该剧的主要演员有朴施厚，高圣熙，全光烈和成赫。

“风，云和雨 바람과 구름과 비”是朝鲜时代的一部电视剧，讲述掌握命运的造王者争夺王位的电视剧。在21世纪的科学文明时代，该剧着重于仍属于神秘领域的命理学和神秘的心灵能力为素材，描写了回顾当今现实的故事。

History in his hands

高圣熙饰演韩国第25代帝王哲宗的女儿李凤莲，高尚出生的她拥有倾国倾城的美貌和神秘灵能力。神赐予的祝福，给她神秘能力可预测人类命运，但在人类欲望驱使下可以成为诅咒。她的能力被利用，被恶意使用，但她最终帮助崔天中以造王者的身份帮助了世界。

全光烈将扮演拥有虎眼的王族李昰应，是有王命运的兴宣大院君，但以乡下人般的生活。他隐藏着对权力的强烈渴望，得知崔天中的能力，想和他携手，立自己的儿子为王。

成赫饰演崔天中的朋友兼敌人蔡仁奎， 是张东金氏家族的养子。虽然是崔天中的要好朋友，但总是贪图崔天中之位， 崔天中之女人，一直追在后头。对无法捉摸的日益强大的崔天中，他有着异常的仇恨和恶意，最终将摧毁整个家庭。
