Rundown of romantic date

Our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi had an online “Romantic Date” event with his fans on 14 November 2020, Saturday.  This was his first ever online event.  

Many thanks to Navicon Japan for sharing the rundown of the event, which I was handicapped, not understanding well Korean and Japanese. Get a feel of this “Romantic Date” with Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi!

Park Sihoo: “Wind, Cloud and Rain” and “Golf Trapped”? New song “For You” and online event report and his next project  

Popular Korean actor Park Sihoo held his first online fan event “Park Sihoo Online  Event – Romantic Date with Sihoo” on Saturday, 14 November 2020”. He introduced highlights of his latest drama “Wind, Cloud and Rain” and shared secret stories of the filming. He also enjoyed interacting with fans through cooking and games!

The event was organized with the concept of “dating at Park Sihoo’s house.” Ten people selected by lottery participated via ZOOM. Park Sihoo met ZOOM participants in an online gallery view with the participants displayed side-by-side. Fifty people were also drawn by lottery to receive his autographed posters. 

■ Event Beginning

Park Sihoo carried a bouquet of white flowers and appeared, playfully using his hand to cover the camera. He presented the bouquet to the camera as part of his fan service, saying “Long time no see, everyone. It it my first online fan meeting, so it is a little awkward.  But I would like to have a great time with you. How have you been, everyone?” 

The event started with the chant of “Kampai!” in Japanese by Park Sihoo holding a tumbler to cheer his fans. This tumbler looked like a penlight and camping enthusiast Park Sihoo seemed to like it a lot and thinking to use it for his camping trips.

(Nance’s notes: This tumbler was specially designed for this online event. It was sold as part of a set which included the exclusive black hoodie, two photos of Park Sihoo-ssi and a toothbrush and eye mask.)

“After filming “Wind, Cloud and Rain”, I went camping in Jeju Island and had a good time grilling meat, eating and cycling. I am also into golf these days,” said Park Sihoo. It has recently been reported that he was out playing golf yesterday and has been playing golf for four or five days a week in the past month. His game has improved, scoring between 90 and 95 after being taught by his close juniors. He became addicted to golf when he had insomnia after the drama and started playing golf at the driving range in his condominium compound to overcome the insomnia.

He also showed pictures of his golf on Instagram. Park Sihoo shot the scenes with the desire to show fans the scenery of autumn. He had originally learned to play golf for his dramas, but he didn’t like to play it under the hot sun, but recently he golfs almost every day.

Park Sihoo enjoyed his first online fan meeting and kept smiling and sending finger hearts to the camera while the MC was translating. He also acknowledged the fans in the ZOOM gallery view and said, “It is strange that we can share the same time in this way.” He didn’t forget to pay attention to all the participants, including reading the comments in the chat room. 

■ Sharing his thoughts on “Wind, Cloud and Rain” 

“Wind, Cloud and Rain” is a full-scale historical drama that depicted the battle for the throne among Joseon’s best strategist, a psychic princess, and those in power in Korea. It was filmed with overwhelming visual beauty. Park Sihoo played the role of Choi Cheonjung, the best fortune teller in Korea. 

That event night was his first meeting with his fans after the filming of the drama. Fans cheered him on with comments like “Thank you for your hard work”.

When asked about this historical drama after 9 years since “The Princess Man,” he said, “It was hard because “The Princess Man” was not a pre-production, so it was like a live broadcast on national TV. This time it was a pre-production, so I had plenty of time. When “The Princess Man” ended, I thought historical dramas were so difficult and would not do them after that. But after trying it again this time, I thought I am suitable for historical dramas.”

Park Sihoo, an outdoor and meat lover, often brought his barbecue set to the filming set and grilled meat for the staff. The MC expressed his fans’ feelings, saying, “The most suitable actors for historical drama action have to look good wearing the traditional hanbok. And Park Sihoo-ssi is most suitable”. The fans added that his “modern dramas were also excellent.” 

A photo taken at the beginning of the drama was shown. When asked if he was scared of the scene taken at a cliff in the drama, he replied, “I was not scared because I lived in the countryside when I was a child and there were many places like that.” Park Sihoo is from Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, about two and a half hours south of Seoul by express bus. 

As for the memorable scenes, he said, “I remember the scenes of predicting the future in front of the King, the scenes of determination and the melodramatic scenes with Bongryeong (played by Ko Sunghee)”. Action and horse riding scenes…” He seemed to find it difficult to choose one, and he recalled the shooting, saying that it was difficult to dress up for the both winter and summer scenes, but other than that, there was nothing particularly difficult during filming.

As for the famous scenes recommended by Park Sihoo, he said, “I was impressed by the scene where I went to another country at the end and dreamed of a different world. And the scene when Cha-young, later Empress Myeongseong (played by Park Jungyeon), entered the palace as the Queen, with a huge storm of rain and wind blowing.” 

He seemed to have a lot of fun shooting this time and laughingly said, “I am thinking of looking for historical dramas in the future.” 

■ Question Corner 

Questions were previously solicited from the Park Sihoo Japan Official fanclub members.

① What do you do when you can’t sleep? 

Park Sihoo: I will watch a movie. I like action and romance. 

② What do you do when you feel uncomfortable? 

Park Sihoo: I work out or go camping. But I don’t camp anymore because I play golf these days. 

③ What would you like to know if you had the ability to see the future like Cheonjung (played by Park Sihoo)? 

Park Sihoo: About the future, works, career and marriage. I wonder if I will meet a good person in the future. I only believe in having good outcomes. 

When the MC asked him about breakfast that morning, he said, “I ate meat from the morning. I ate yakiniku when I went golfing, brought back the leftover meat, grilled it and ate it.”

And he answered many questions asked in the chat room. Many were golf-related comments. After filming of the drama, he seemed to have completely fallen into the golf trap. There were comments in the chat room asking, “Teach me golf.” He also responded to the request of hugging a white bear next to the sofa. 

■ Cooking Corner 

The scene changed from the living room to the kitchen. Park Sihoo appeared wearing a nice apron . On the menu was cream pasta.  

He usually eats Korean-style dishes at home. When eating out he will have meat over charcoal and Sukiyaki (which he made on a camping trip to Canada for the filming of “Amazing Journey with Pets”) .

Park Sihoo said cooking while chatting was fun. Recently, he had been so busy playing golf that he didn’t cook much. But the nasi goreng he ate when he went to Bali was delicious, so he made it and ate it when he was in America. 

Also, he is not good at household chores like doing the  laundry and cleaning the kitty litter. He also had a conversation on his beloved cat Jami and Dami, who are often talked about at his fan meetings. 

“I think of the fans in front of the camera as her (Nance: his girlfriend; He was thinking that he was cooking for his girlfriend),” he said. Park Sihoo cooked his spaghetti but one essential ingredient for the dish, cream sauce, could not be found. It was finally found in the refrigerator and he made a delicious-looking cream pasta. After that Park Sihoo announced to the camera that “”it is done”” in Japanese, he let his fans eat it over the air, and he was very happy that he could eat it himself.

By the way, he really likes anchovy garlic pasta, but this was changed to cream pasta due to time constraint.

From the kitchen, the next scene was held in another room.

■ Game Corner 

Fans joined through chat comments. 

Cryptographic quiz

This was a cryptographic quiz that made good use of the keyboard. First, decipher the “alphabetic” message that appeared on the tumbler. This will appear in Hangul as “Park Sihoo always with you”, when you enter the specified “alphabet” using a Hangul keyboard. Park Sihoo also enjoyed doing the decryption using a smartphone keyboard. To give hints for the quiz, he presented cute gestures, with the expressions of his hometown of Chungcheong-do. The chat room was filled with comments saying, “Cute” and “I want you to stay with me.” 

Proverbial gesture

It was a game where you guess Japanese proverbs from Park Sihoo’s gestures. The proverbs expressed through his gestures related to cats and dogs and as a reward for the correct answer, Park Sihoo gave heart-throbbing comments in Japanese like “I like your smile” and “Can I hold your hand?”

■ Ending and song presentation

The event ended in no time. He said, “I think we had a good time, unlike the usual performance, because I was able to talk to you online in a new way.” He was asked how, it was with his fans? And he he replied that he was really worried about how he should interact with them, but it was nice to have a time like this. He would like to meet his fans in person, but he can’t do that now.”

As for the future activities, he said “Yesterday, I signed the contract for the next project. I am looking forward to showing you a wonderful work and appearance. What kind of work is it?… it’s a secret!”, while mischievously saying to the MC, “Is it a thriller?” He just signed yesterday, so he will let his fans be the first to know in good time.

He added, “I heard that “Wind, Cloud and Rain” is also on air in Japan. I hope I can come and see you as soon as possible. Please stay healthy until that day. I have prepared a song for the next segment. I am so nervous. Please look forward to it warmly. I love you!” And he gestured with a finger heart. 

He said the words “I’ll sing for you” in Japanese and the new song “For You”” was presented to the fans in his soft singing voice, along with light steps and finally with a heart finger gesture. After the song’s presentation, he told his fans, “Everyone, it is time to go to bed. I am glad to see you today. Have a good dream.” He waved and put on an eye mask (Nance: the one that was included in the set mentioned earlier) on camera, and it was like a dream with Park Sihoo. The date at home was over.

■ Signing event 

Park Sihoo carefully signed his autographs one-by-one while reading out the names of the  winning fans. The chat room was filled with comments such as “It was fun”, “Good, please call my name”, “Thank you for your hard work” and “Thank you for your lovely smile.”

“浪漫的约会“后记

2020年11月14日（星期六），偶吧Oppa施厚君与他的粉丝们进行了在线“浪漫的约会”活动。 这是他第一次举办的在线活动。

非常感谢Navicon Japan分享了这次活动的后记，因为不了解韩语和日语，所以之前我有语言残障， 写不了细节。

朴施厚:”风，云和雨”过后陷入高尔夫泥潭？新曲“For You”的发布和下部作品也触及在线事件报告 

人气演员朴施厚昨天在11月14日（星期六）举办首次在线粉丝活动”朴施厚在线活动 – 与施厚的浪漫约会”，介绍最新作品电视剧“风，云和雨”的观看点和拍摄秘闻，通过烹饪、游戏等和粉丝一起分享！

活动以”在朴施厚家约会”为主题进行。通过抽签选出的10人以ZOOM方式参加活动，而朴施厚则通过Gallery View（并列标记参加人员的方式）与ZOOM参加者见面。此外，抽签选出的50名粉丝也将在会后收到他的签字留念。

■ 活动开始

用手遮挡摄像机，调皮地登场，朴施厚手上拿着白色花束。将花束放在显示器上，向粉丝们提供粉丝服务，并说:”好久不见了。因为是第一次在线粉丝见面会，所以有些尴尬，但是想和大家度过愉快的时间。大家过得怎么样？”

朴时厚举起特别设计的水杯，用日语向粉丝高喊”加油！”这个水杯像手电筒一样，喜欢野营的朴施厚好像也很喜欢，想在露营时也可以使用。

（Nance的注释：这只水杯是专门为该在线活动设计的。它是出售套装里的一部分，其中包括独家的黑色帽衫，施厚君的两张照片以及牙刷和眼罩。）

“电视剧拍摄结束后，到济州岛野营，烤肉吃、骑自行车等，度过了愉快的时光。最近还沉迷于高尔夫中”的朴施厚好像昨天也去打高尔夫，最近1个月多月每周有4、5天去打高尔夫。从关系很好的后辈那里学习，到了90~95分左右的成绩。因为电视剧结束后出现失眠症，因此在位于公寓的高尔夫练习场开始打高尔夫，消除失眠症。

在Instagram上也发了高尔夫照片。这是朴施厚出于”想让粉丝们看到秋天的风景”的想法亲自拍摄的。他还说:”原本因为电视剧而只学了高尔夫姿势，但不喜欢在烈日下打球，但是最近几乎每天都在打球。”司仪在翻译时，也一直面带微笑，对着镜头递出手指的“心”的朴时厚，在ZOOM画廊观看，仔细确认粉丝的脸后说:”能以这种形式共享同一时间真是神奇”，并享受首次在线粉丝见面会。还忘不了仔细观察“聊天室”上的评论等，对全体参加者的关心。

■ “风、云和雨”脱口秀

“风，云和雨“是一部以压倒性的影像美描写朝鲜最高面相师和具有灵力的公主、权力者争夺王位的战争的古装历史剧。朴施厚饰演朝鲜第一大译者崔天中。

当天是在拍摄完电视剧“风，云和雨”后，首次与粉丝见面，粉丝们通过显示器向他送了”辛苦了”的声援。当被问到继”公主的男人之后，时隔9年的古装历史剧时，他说:”以前， 公主的男人“因为不是事先拍摄，所以全国都像直播一样，所以非常辛苦，但这次因为是事前拍摄，所以时间很充裕。在”公主的男人“剧终时，因为古装历史剧太难了，所以觉得以后很难再演古装历史剧，但经过这次尝试，觉得适合演古装历史剧。”

据悉，户外派和喜欢吃肉的朴施厚在此次拍摄现场经常带烤箱和工作人员一起烤肉吃。主持人说”古装历史剧动作和史剧语气都适合穿韩服，所以适合演古装历史剧”，为粉丝代言时，网上出现了同意和”现代电视剧也很帅”等留言。

电视剧初期的照片也被公开，看到其中一张悬崖峭壁照片的MC问道:”有没有恐惧感”时，他回答说:”小时候住在乡下，而且经常有那种地方，所以并不害怕。” 朴施厚是从首尔乘坐高速巴士南下2个半小时的地方，是忠南扶余出身。

对于印象深刻的场面，他表示:”在国王面前预言未来的场面和决心的场面，与凤莲（高圣熙饰）的爱情场面也留在记忆中。动作戏和骑马戏都…”等场面很难挑，适合冬天和夏天的服装虽然很辛苦，但是除此之外的拍摄上没有什么特别累的事情。”

对于朴施厚推荐的名场面，他表示:”在结尾中，去别的国家梦想着另一个世界的场面和车英（后来的明成皇后，朴正英饰演）成为王妃进入宫殿时，暴风雨、下雨、刮风的场景给我留下了深刻的印象，好像是在说明这部电视剧。” 这次拍摄好像特别有意思，所以说”以后要找古装历史剧”，引发了现场一阵笑声一片。

■ 提问环节

粉丝俱乐部事先征集的问题

① 睡不着的时候做什么？

朴施厚: 看电影。动作和爱情片都喜欢。

② 心情不好的时候会做什么？

朴施厚: 是去运动还是去露营。但是最近因为有了高尔夫，所以不再去露营了。

③ 如果像天中（朴施厚饰演的主人公）一样，拥有什么都看得见的力量的话，你想知道什么？

朴施厚: 以后的事情，关于作品，工作，结婚的事情。是否能够遇到更好的人等。我只相信结果会好。

当主持人问起今天的早餐时，他回答说:”从早上开始吃了肉。去打高尔夫吃烤肉，还带回了剩下的肉，然后烤着吃了。” 这里也有很多有关高尔夫的访谈，拍摄完电视剧后好像陷入了”高尔夫沼泽”，“聊天室”还出现了”请教我高尔夫”等留言。此外，对于”抱住沙发旁边的白色小熊玩偶”的要求，他也温柔地抱着小熊回应。

■ 烹饪节目

从客厅换到厨房。帅气围裙的朴施厚登场。菜单是奶油意大利面。

因为平时家里有很多韩式料理，所以外出就餐时会吃炭火烤肉或寿喜烧 （在加拿大旅行，拍摄“给狗喂饭的男人–奇妙的旅行“ 露营时有做过）。朴施厚一边聊天一边说烹饪很愉快。听说最近因为打高尔夫太忙，没有烧饭，但是去巴厘岛的时候吃的印尼炒饭很好吃，所以去美国的时候做了。

另外，做家务时最讨厌的是洗衣服、打扫他的猫的卫生间。在粉丝见面会上也经常介绍他的宠物猫扎米Jami和大米Dami的谈话。

朴施厚巧妙地用”把镜头前的粉丝当作女朋友来烧饭”的朴施厚，在中途丢失了重要的奶油酱。在冰箱里安全的找到了奶油酱汁，制作出了看起来很好吃的奶油意大利面。朴施厚用日语说”做好了”后，让粉丝们用空气给品尝，自己也吃，味道非常好，非常满意。顺便说一下，其实他喜欢吃安卓比和蒜派斯塔，因为时间关系变成了奶油派斯塔。

密码猜谜

使用键盘的密码猜谜。首先，阅读在水杯上浮现的密码一样的”英文字母”信息，用韩语键盘输入指定的”英文字母”后，”朴施厚永远和你在一起”的韩文出现。此外，他用智能手机键盘的输入密码猜谜。在这里为展现猜谜的提示，朴施厚还摆出亲故乡忠清道可爱的动作提示。网上充斥着”可爱”、”希望留在身边”等留言。

谚语手势

这是用朴施厚的手势猜日本谚语的游戏。在这里用手势表现猫或狗的俗语，用正答的奖励来表达朴施厚送出的”我喜欢那笑容”或”可以牵手吗？”

■ 结尾和歌曲礼物

瞬息间活动也结束。当被问到首次在线活动的感想时，他回答说:”因为新鲜，所以能在网上和大家这样聊天，和平时的演出不同，这个也是很好的时间。虽然真的很担心如何与粉丝们交流，但是这种时间也很好。当然，想直接与各位见面，但是目前不能那样。”

对于今后的活动，他表示:”昨天在下一部作品的合同书上盖章。能给大家展示帅气地作品，让我非常期待。什么作品呢？……是秘密！昨天刚签约，下次会告诉细节。”对问到底是什么样的作品的MC开玩笑地说”类型……是秘密”的同时又说”是惊悚作品吗？请期待吧”

还有”听说在日本也在播放“风，云和雨”。我希望能尽早去见大家。到那天为止请保持健康。在下一个环节准备了歌曲，非常紧张。请温柔地关注我。用”我爱你”这句话和”手指Heart”结束了最后的问候。

用日语”为你歌唱”的话和新曲”For You”用柔和的歌声，轻快的舞步和最后的手指心也送给了粉丝们。在送歌后，他说:”各位，现在该睡觉了。今天很高兴见到大家。好梦……”边挥手，边将眼罩贴到镜头前，在朴施厚梦幻般的家中结束了约会。
