Resurgence of Park Sihoo-ssi
For someone who has been in the Korean entertainment business for around 15 years, Park Sihoo-ssi certainly doesn’t have that many dramas or movies under his belt. But what he has, they are quality works. They are classics that have no time stamp and can be enjoyed over and over again at any time.
When I saw the recent spate of activities surrounding his works, the word “resurgence” came to mind. I had wondered if this was apt description, so I looked up the word in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. The definition it gave was “a rising again into life, activity, or prominence”.
Perfect! “Resurgence” is just the word I am looking for!
The Legendary Princess Man
Yes, we are seeing a resurgence of Park Sihoo-ssi’s dramas and movies in key Asian markets recently. Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong and I don’t know where else. I am delighted that they are making new rounds again and hopefully more people will get to enjoy his wonderful works and appreciate this superb actor!
The legendary “Princess Man” Kim Seungyu returns to make his presence felt in Korea on CNTV in July and August 2016! Chinese audience will also soon get a taste of court charmer and avenging angel Park Sihoo-ssi on 星空卫视 from 21 August 2016. And Japanese audience can enjoy their favorite man on Japan Ginga (银河） from September. The station is making the drama a part of its special historical feature.
Get the Princess Man Compact DVD come November 2016
If Japanese fans still can’t get enough of our gorgeous Hanbok-clad Park Sihoo-ssi on TV, they can look forward to getting their very own Compact DVD when it is re-released later in November! Enjoy watching him at your leisure!
Park Sihoo-ssi’s “Local Hero” (“Neighborhood Hero”) Baek Siyoon first wowed audiences in Korea on OCN, TVN, UXN and Super Action from January 2016. He then broke into Japan on Mnet in May 2016, followed by a re-broadcast in July 2016. After a successful run on Tencent Online Video in China in July, he is now charming the Hong Kong audience on TVB’s MyTV Super, in fluent Cantonese…though I would much rather enjoy his sexy baritone Korean! Not to be outdone, CJ UXN is broadcasting an encore of the ex-secret agent turn bar owner and local hero in action in August in Korea!

The post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Jean Thierry Cha from 2012 “Cheongdamdong Alice” goes on air on Japan’s TBS Channel 1 come 20 September 2016! But if you can’t wait till then, you can watch his funny and yet sad antics on tbsdignet.co.jp from August 2016.
In Iljimae, Park Sihoo-ssi’s Sihoo stole the thunder even though he was not the leading man. Iljimae made a comeback to Japan on Mnet in July 2016 and Japanese audience relived again one of the most beautiful scenes in Korean historical drama. Park Sihoo-ssi’s single shot arrow set the lanterns alighted to blaze a path for his beloved half sister going home on the dark, lonely pathway.

“Scent” from 2014 was telecast on Japan’s DATV in July 2016 and will be re-broadcast on 21 August 2016. I can just smell the aromatic Injun whisky laced coffee! Can I have some, please, Barista Park Sihoo-ssi?
Japan’s Mnet ran the amazing 2012 “Confession of Murder” in July and again in August 2016. And news have been released of a Japanese remake! What accolade to the outstanding Korean production! The Japanese version will be coming soon in Summer 2017!

虽然施厚君已经在韩国娱乐圈约15年，他没拍很多电视剧或电影。但，他的作品都是优质经典之作，常青的作品，随时都可以欣赏。
当我看到最近他的作品接二连三的播放，脑海里浮现着“回潮”这词。就不知道这词用得合适，所以查下字典，韦氏Merriam-Webster字典的定义是“再次复活的活动或突出”。
恰好！正是我要找的词！

是的，最近看到好几部施厚君的电视剧和电影在亚洲主要市场播出。韩国，日本，中国，香港，不知道还有那些地区。非常高兴看到新一轮的重播，希望更多的观众可以欣赏到他的优秀作品和喜欢这杰出的演员！！
传说中的“公主的男人”里的金承琉，在韩国CNTV 7 – 8月份亮相！中国观众也将在8月21日起，可以在星空卫视观赏到施厚君复仇天使的魅力！而日本观众也能看到自己喜欢的男人在9月初在Ginga（银河）电台的历史剧专辑再次播出。
如果电视的播出不能满足日本的厚粉姐妹们，她们可以在11月买重新发布的“公主的男人”Compact DVD！买后就可以随时观看穿着韩服帅气复仇天使了！

施厚君饰演的”小区英雄”（“邻家英雄”）白时允在2016年1月在韩国的OCN，TVN， UXN和Super Action电台首次播映。然后在2016年5月他闯进日本的Mnet 电台。紧接着就进入中国，在2016年7月成功的在腾讯在线视频放映。现在白时允已在香港的TVB MyTV Super 以流利的粤语吸引着港众…虽然我更喜欢他那性感男中音的韩语！为了不逊色，最近，韩国的CJ UXN也在8月重新推出前秘密特工转酒吧老板和动作派小区英雄！

在2012年的“清潭洞爱丽丝”里的创伤后应激障碍（PTSD）的 Jean Thierry Cha 车胜祖车会长将在2016年9月20日空降日本的TBS第1频道！但是，如果妳等不及想尽快观看那调皮但又悲伤的他，现在8月已经可以在tbsdignet.co.jp观看到他了！
从2016年7月起，一枝梅的小石头也再次亮相日本的Mnet台。日本观众重温了韩国历史剧最美丽的场景之一。施厚君的单杆箭头点燃了一串的灯笼为自己心爱的妹妹点亮了晚上回家的黑暗孤独的一条路。

Mnet Japan rebroadcasts Local Hero after it’s recent launch. The last episode just finished broadcasting on 12/7. It means that the drama has market and launches again under request. Congratulations to PSH!

I’m very happy about the resurgence of PSH’s dramas and movies on small and big screens in Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, which seems a growing interest in PSH’s artistic performance. It also represents admiration and respect for a very talented actor, PSH. “Was it an intellectual consequence of this “rebirth”, of this dignity and rigor, at about the same time, his sense of beauty was observed to undergo an almost excessive resurgence, that his style took on the nobel purity , simplicity, and symmetry that were to set upon all his subsequent works, that so evident and evidently intentional stamp of the classcal master?” [Thomas Mann]
Let’s hope all these resurgences of his works todate could even stretch further back including earlier works like How To Meet A Perfect Neighbour, Let’s Get Married. I have just recently watched these very early works and he was already very good back then. Of course my hope is of very little chance however we as fans who are so hungry about PSH’s works those new fans who haven’t had a chance to watch these early works, hope that you will come to watch them too.
I do not want to seem exaggerated but I would call films and serials in which activated PSH true works of art chosen from the highest levels of exigency and accomplishment and that because of beloved actor who has all our support. Sure is demand in the market. I miss when I hit a high of PSH, watching his dremele one by one, and consisted as discover something new that I did not notice at first glance. Maybe these requests both in Korea and China, Japan. Hong Cong, etc. ideas will give those working in the entertainment area in Korea and will be more careful in selecting various actors in drama. I would like to see him again as soon as a serial bidder as demanding and as “Local Hero”. PSH luck and this news certainly contribute to the rebirth of our beloved actor.
Today’s articles and comments are delightful to read; they give me a warm and good feeling that our favourite Korean actor ( or for some like me our sole favourite actor ) is on the verge of a new wave of success and popularity in artistic entertainment which is soon to realise. The repeated rebroadcasting of his dramas and movies in Korea and other key countries in the region is a clear indication that his artistic works are watch worthy perennial classics and the man himself proven time and again to be a top talent, incredibly versatile and full to the brim with charm and charisma that enchant and spin magic into the hearts of viewers with every of his screen presence. Having the knack of knowing which drama and what role work best for him, he has obviously been selective over the years resulting in the handful of drama series/ movies but each and every one of them has been a clear winner. It’s a case of quality over quantity. That said, we his fans have long been desiring that he would soon add to the quantity as well. We love to see him soon in a new project for with it, not only would his fans eagerly await to be enchanted once more by his sheer brilliance on screen, there will heightened buzz and excitement in his fan ship throughout the work in progress of the project – the whole social media ablaze with frenzied sharing of news updates and pictures and videos. This is also what his fans long to have. So dear Sihoo- ssi capitalise on your new wave of popularity and announce to us soon of your new project. We eagerly await!
And with the resurgence, fan base increase in numbers in speed lightning. Though we are a group of fans who value quality over quantity, in the world of entertainment, artists need fans, the more the better.
Absolutely agree with you! I have watched all of his dramas over and over again, enjoying some more than others. But every one of them is a quality piece of work. Not many dramas you have this “urge” to watch it again. Many are long forgotten once you have watched it, if you can manage to finish it in the first place. Not those of Park Sihoo-ssi. Incredibly great work! Incredibly superb actor! I hope many more people can appreciate great actors and great works as opposed those that are flavours of the moment.
