I am not a speculator, in particular, when it involves real life. However, when it comes to reel life, I think there is license to be creative and speculate. This adds more life and fire to the engagement and enjoyment of the drama or movie.
So seeing the still cuts of both Park Sihoo-ssi’s top star Philip Yu and Song Jihyo-ssi’s writer Ji Eulsun in upcoming KBS drama “Lovely Horribly 러블리 호러블리” and knowing that they are poles apart due to their fates, my imagination went riot!
So far, Writer Ji’s character appeared as dark and seemingly prone to violence. What with the first release of a shot of her oblivious of the rain carrying a shovel across her shoulder, seemingly bend on digging somebody’s grave. And then yesterday, the still showed her actually digging! And then another photo showed her unsmiling demeanour, looking out into the night like an avenging angel with an eerie smile. And more of her executing a flying kick and looking disheveled and I speculate, landing the person in front of her in hospital with an injury!
Following along these lines and with the photos of top star Philip Yu sporting a bloodied nose and down on his knees with a black plastic bag over his head looking like a begging dog…hmmm! My imagination went along the line of violence. Her prone to violence against him!
Did writer Oh do that to top star Philip Yu? Did she bloody his nose and bring him down to his knees? We wait to see, with great expectations! Kekeke! 😄

What’s happen? 厚厚的驚嚇表情
“Prone to violence?”. That’s a good question ,after seeing the first cuts with Park Si Hoo and his partner , Song Jihyo, in their new drama “Lovely Horribly”. “Horribly” coming from something “awful” or “bloody awful”? And if this supposition is true, then I’ll think of the French philosopher, Rene Descartes, who presumed that all our senses might be manipulated by a malicious demon. Is this the message of the drama, or it’s too early to draw the conclusion? On the other hand , if the violence is persisitng in this new drama, I’ll be very dissapointed for Park SI Hoo’s hard work ,as the male lead actor. But there are only three weeks until we’ll get the answer to this question, and I’m waiting it with great expectations.
Yes, they seem to be violent scenes, but they can be caused by self-defense, not because the girl is bad. Her actions seem rather strange. And I do not think her acts of violence are necessarily directed against Philip. Let’s not forget that he was kidnapped, so the kidnappers are not too gentile with the victims. Extremely strange I find the scene in which Philip is kneeling and the weirdness of the strangeness is that cropped bag. Why? The kidnappers ridicule him?
Ştefania says: “If the violence persists in this new drama, I’ll be very disapointed for the hard work of Park Hoo’s, as the lead actor.” Why Ştefi? In The Princess’ Man it’s not just about love, it’s about revenge, violence, blood, fighting. And yet we love the actor very much and the character he created, and the series itself too. It has passed the anniversary day, but in this context and still under the spell of recollections, I have reviewed this good TPM summary. Enjoy love, revenge, violence, blood and tears.
So, let PSH to surprise and delight us with a terrible horror character.
Dana, I like your arguments defending the idea o violence in “Lovely Horribly” compared with the violence, revange, bloodshed in “The Princess Man.” I didn’t liked them too in “The Princess Man”, but I could surpass them due to Seungyu’s words at the end of the drama:” I could not fulfill my vengence, but I gained you instead.. With you by my side, nothing will daunt me.” He could understand that giving up his revange, bloodshed, ,he could get love instead. Now I’m just waiting to watch “Lovely Horribly” to really understand the acts of violence in this drama, and if I can surpass them too.
I share your view Daniela in that we should not be disappointed with a good drama or movie just on account it contains violence. When executed well, the violent scenes add depth and dimension to the storyline and struck us audience with memories of a creative piece of work which cannot be erased from our mind. Thats the haunting beauty that forever remains in TPM and also what I wish to experience in LH. However, because LH is touted as also a romcom, I dont think the violence will be carried out to extremes. And because there seems so much mystery and suspense around LH, drama in a new genre for PSH ( uncharted?) it is arousing much curiousity to his fans both in Korea and internationally! 🤗😘😘😗
Oh no violencia noo
