Ah, last week when I spun the spinning wheel, one landing took us back to the days of Park Sihoo-ssi’s “Prosecutor Princess”. And that kissing scene which I subtlety mentioned was much remembered. Kekeke! 😄
So today, I share an interview our Oppa did back in 2011 which he was specifically asked about this most memorable kissing scene. More for us to recall and catch the “Seo Byun Syndrome” once more.
Today, we do Part One of this Chosun Online interview. Remember to catch more on Part Two tomorrow! On girlfriend, love and more!

I did a good job kissing
In the drama “Prosecutor Princess” Park Sihoo did well playing the role of a mysterious lawyer Seo Inwoo, who appeared from nowhere to help new prosecutor Ma Hyeri (Kim Soyeon). He was behind the spread of the “Seo Byun Syndrome” to viewers. The reporter interviewed Park Sihoo, who has attracted many female fans not only in Korea but also in Japan.
Q: What kind of person is the character Seo Inwoo?
PSH: Because I am a mysterious person, I don’t really have many opportunities to appear in the first half. However, I was busy in the second half. Seo Inwoo has multiple personalities, sometimes he looks like a bad guy, and other times he is like Superman with a gentle, kind and mischievous image. He has multiple personalities, so you won’t get bored.
Q: Your character Seo Inwoo has such tremendous charisma that the “Seo Byun Syndrome” was created. What do you think is Seo Inwoo’s charm?
PSH: I thought about it for a while. He seemed to be a bad guy, but in fact, he looked like a superman who is silently guarding her (Nance: as in Ma Hyeri’s) back. I think the audience like this kind of duality.
Q: What are the difficulties in expressing this multi-faceted personality?
PSH: I approached Ma Hyeri to use her, but then fell in love with her and gave up on revenge. I think it was a little difficult to portray a character in transition.
Q: The teaser kiss was one of the popular scenes; it was so realistic and good. Is there any inside scoop (Nance: of the behind-the-scene filming)?
PSH: We rehearsed for the kissing scene and I was going to kiss lightly because it was a rehearsal and then doing it perfectly during the actual production. But Soyeon (Nance: Kim Soyeon who was playing Ma Hyeri’s role) called me and said, “This is not just filming a kiss scene, but is a (Nance: real) kiss.” (Laugh). That was why I performed well for the actual filming. I felt calm (Laugh). It was a unique kiss for the viewers and the reaction was also very good.
Q: The shower scene pleased your female fans, but are you satisfied with it?
PSH: The shower scene was filmed suddenly and I didn’t think it was that good. (Laugh) Although there were many scenes that left impressions, the scene filmed with the watch was very sad when I read the script, and I almost cried. The audience also thought the scene was very sad. The kiss scene was also impressive. After the kiss scene, the reaction to the drama seemed to be better. (Laugh) I also do like kiss scene. (Laugh)
Q: Fashion has become a hot topic, but skinny jeans might have been been a challenge.
PSH: I always liked skinny jeans. Seo Inwoo’s image was flexible so I wore the opposite of what was considered right for his image. It was the first time like this in a drama, but I think it is fine. I look younger. (Laugh)
Q: Ma Hyeri’s fashion is also unique, but what is Park Sihoo’s favorite style (for a woman)?
PSH: A woman in a long dress. Like a chiffon dress or a long skirt?
Q: You like feminine styles, don’t you?
PSH: I suppose so. Rather than being manly. (Laugh)
