Bringing winter warmth and good cheer to Park Sihoo-ssi during winter filming
This year we have been experiencing rather exceptional weather in this part of the world. Even though we have gone into “winter”, the weather continued to be hot in the high twenties until the Wednesday just past. The temperature dropped by 5-8 degrees Celsius overnight, still “warm” by a long measure compared to some other temperate climates!
I am sure many of you would have noticed that Park Sihoo-ssi has a knack for choosing dramas with filming during the winter season. “Cheongdamdong Alice”, “Queen of Reversals”, “Family Honor” and now, “Neighborhood Hero”. With such cold winter conditions in Korean, he really needs some winter warmth during the filming!

His Korean fans, with contributions from fans in China and other parts of the world, have extended him and the crew some much needed winter warmth. In the past, they have treated them to sizzling hot Korean BBQs, arranged for hot food trucks to be at their shooting locations to serve korean snack food including tteok-bokki (떡볶이), sundae (순대), odeng (오뎅), mandu (만두) etc and sent them lots of heat packs to keep them warm.
Park Sihoo-ssi has also been most generous and thoughtful providing pizza treats, calling in hot food trucks and even given the cast and crew down jackets as Christmas gifts!
The Korean and Chinese fans, with participation from a sprinkling of fans from other countries, are already planning to provide Park Sihoo-ssi, the cast and crew of “Neighborhood Hero” with some warm comforts to make their winter filming much more bearable. Thank you so much for your very generous spirits and in continuing to love and support Park Sihoo-ssi!

今年，这一带的天气好特殊。虽然已经入“寒冬”，可是天气仍然相当热，在高的二十多摄氏度，直到周三，一夜之间下降了5-8摄氏度。当然，跟温带气候比仍是“温暖”！
我相信很多厚粉们都注意到，施厚君有一个习惯，经常选择参演冬季拍摄的电视剧电影。 “清淡洞爱丽丝”，“逆转的女王”，“家门的荣光”，还有现在的“邻家英雄”。韩国寒冷的冬天里拍摄电视剧时，他真的需要一些温暖！

他的韩国还有一些中国和世界其他地区的粉丝们都慷慨地贡献资助，给他和剧组在冬天里带来一些温馨。在过去，她们为施厚君和剧组准备了韩国烧烤杀青宴，在拍摄地点安排了韩式美食车提供热街头食品，如辣炒年糕（떡볶이), 各韩式香肠(순대)，鱼豆腐(오뎅), 饺子(만두)……等。
施厚君也一直非常慷慨和周到，经常给在努力中的剧组提供温暖，如比提供萨饼，热食品，甚至送羽绒服当圣诞礼物！
韩国，中国还有少数来自其他国家的粉丝们，已经计划为施厚君和“邻家英雄”的演员和工作人员准备送一些温暖，使寒冷的冬天拍摄更惬意。感谢姐妹们的慷慨精神，一直以来爱护和支持着施厚君！

I don’t know if he likes shooting especially in winter , or some others decide this period of the year , but , for sure, shooting in winter, outside in cold weather , can be a miserable experience for him and his crew, if he is not well equipped and prepared for the cold. That’s why I admire his Korean and Chinese fans who are trying to relieve the difficult weather conditions for him and his crew., while shooting in winter. Hot food and warm clothes for him and his crew afforded by his fans represent their generosity, their concern,and care for their idol.And this indeed makes winter warmer for him and his crew. Because :”What are fans for?”.

Nance, it’s very encouraging that the number of likes on your page is about to triple from the day I discovered this. On PSH’s drama frequently filmed in winter, somehow his fair pinkish complexion makes me always associate winter and snow. Watching CDDA, QOR in winter adds more enjoyment to the show, it also adds deeper feeling and meaning example Christmas he met his supposed to be his birth mother in QOR. We all know around Christmas we tend to have heighten emotion – poor boy had to endure the unchartered water, where he himself also does not know how he would feel what he will do meeting the “mother” in the midst of Christmas atmosphere. Followed by the eruption of the gut of emotion and kissed Hwang Taisee just because she happened to deliver a cake to his apartment for the dying Mu Pu Chang is a very clever scene all made extra logical because of Christmas. Thanks to the caring fans who have helped to warm PSH and the crew to make shooting more endurable under harsh cold condition. Yes we are experiencing the effects of climate change, here on Wed the weather was 34C when the nasty bush fire started (we all in Barossa Valley are so lucky though we came close but all spared when wind changed direction just in time), but very unfortunate for many other towns farmers and residents who lost lives, houses, crops, machinery, livestocks (no ham for us this Christmas), fire burnt from Wed til yesterday (Fri) morning, it’s a ferocious furious fire that no efforts possible to contain it sooner despite hundreds of firefighters fighting their lives, farm land full of crops just about to be harvested, not wild forests or reserves. The lack of rain in both winter and spring the grounds are crisp dry, fire disaster even just a spark to start with. The following night we had minimum 2C, a change of 32C over less than 48 hours. We are still in Nov when it is supposed to be late spring, summer is supposed to start 1 December ie it is not even bush fire season yet…a seed of thought what each and everyone of us could do and should do to protect our environment, our beloved planet earth.
I would say, many thanks to everyone to your support to grow the “likes” for this page and I also take it as support for Park Sihoo-ssi. Because the base was small as a start, so the growth seemed faster that’s all. We are still tiny by any standards. But it is encouraging.
