“Epic Malibu Sunset, Another day in paradise, Hanging out in #Santa Monica, LA night lights, Beautiful night, #socal #beverlyhills #california…”
— words by Park Sihoo
I am all praise for our Oppa Park Sihoo-ssi! Particularly when I saw what he posted yesterday on his Instagram! So well done, Oppa! You have improved by leaps and bounds!
For the longest time, we international fans of Park Sihoo-ssi have been saying how good it would be if our Oppa could speak English. And for me, all the time, when I get to meet him face-to-face, I feel as if we were having a chicken and duck talk! How much we understood each other, in those few seconds of talk, I have no idea!
In the last few months, he has been resolute in his determination to master English, at least spoken conversational English. He shared in his exclusive Japanese magazine Enishi that he has been practicing it every day and has now acquired a love for the language!
Keep up the great work, Oppa! See you next weekend…and I look forward to conversing with you in English! Big praise! And of course, a big hug too!

赞美我们的偶吧Oppa

For a while, we see a lot of “awesome” on social media, a word that not until the advent of social media, I had not actually noticed this awesome word. Now our oppa having had a go of immersing himself daily into the world of English in the company of his English teacher, has pioneered this another paradigm shift by engaging the word “epic”. Epic, to me, is beyond awesome. It entails bigger awe than awesome. Fighting Sihoossi! Or should I say Carry On, The Epic Man!
Yes, please carry on, our Epic Man! We want to watch more Epic dramas, more Epic movies and definitely more Epic experiences with our Oppa! 😄😘❤️
My baby

Park Si Hoo-ssi certainly knows more than he shows. I find it hard to believe that someone who has spent for many years every summer in the USA (Los Angeles, New York) and now in Canada cannot speak English. But now I think he’s more determined to improve his English communication because the Hollywood’s mirage is closer to him than ever.
Oh, I think he does know a little English, just that he is not used to conversing or might need to listen more attentively to understand. He will definitely be much better with his English than my non existent Korean Kekeke!
Well if you are always in your own language company no matter where you are and how many years you had been to that country, it just won’t do much to that language. Similar to many of my Hong Kong friends, as they said, it was like a mini HK in Vancouver or Toronto, all year round they mingled with their own kind, so after many years of living in western country their natural 1st language is still their own mother tongue. No doubt we all agree that PSH knows more than he shows, nevertheless as he himself admitted in Enishi, learning English is his latest/or current focus. As Nance said he definitely knows English, however in order to be confidently using it, he still needs to invest some time and efforts, and in no time he will be there, by then he can really show us much more
Chai Hua Loke Now that you said about your friends in Canada “their natural 1st language is still their own mother tongue”, I remembered what Marie Skłodowska Curie was saying: she spoke well in French, but she could think only in Polish.
Daniela Maria Miricescu I can relate to Marie Curie 🙂 I can only think in English even though I speak Mandarin, Cantonese and a few other Chinese dialects. When I tried to learn Korean, my teacher spoke in Cantonese and I had a hard time trying to juggle with her accented Cantonese teaching me Korean..but had to have the inbetween of translating her Cantonese in my mind to English which is how I think…complicated! It took me a long time to learn!
Park Sihoo-ssi 박시후-씨 朴施厚君 If it weren’t so difficult, I would say it’s funny how you learn Korean. Only a sharp mind like yours can handle through this linguistic labyrinth.
Park Sihoo-ssi 박시후-씨 朴施厚君 People often asked me in what language I think, since my formal education was in 3 languages: Chinese (Mandarin), Malay and English while at home we speak Cantonese but we are the rare Cantonese in a village of Teow Chew dialect residents and the common dialect of the whole island is Hokkein. In university lectures were in Malay but tutorials were in English. My answer is depending on what subject I am thinking of, depending on my past experiences of that matter which language it related with, and it also depends on how i need to action on the matter, so I could never only think in one language. Always a mixture hence I often get myself into own confusion or blocked mind with too many mixes of signals/ memories 🤣
Chai Hua Loke Wow! Indeed, it is complicated in your case. But you’re doing great 😄
“Excellence is not a gift, but a skill that takes practice. We do not act “rightly” because we are “excellent”, in fact we achieve “excellence” by acting “rightly”.[Plato] Park Si Hoo-ssi is a person who achieves excellence by acting rightly. He is a person with many qualities like:perseverance, determination, courage, strength, resolution. All of us we’ve praised them watching him acting, watching him changing the direction, when necessary.. He takes responsabilities for his success not only in acting, but also in kindness , in achieving knowledge.etc .We, his fans,, admire him for his perseverance in learning foreign languages like Chinese, Japanese and also English, as we’ve discovered lately.. “Big jobs usually go to men , who prove their ability to outgrow small ones.”[Th. Roosevelt]. Having so many English spoken fans all over the world, he has achieved “a big job” by learning English to be able to communicate with them, to reveal them his progress in his career, for which his fans are praising him everyday.❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations to our 2 Buyeo boys Hoo Hoo and Bong Gu ! One for learning English and the other for learning doggy commands Sit and Lie down. Not an easy feat, takes both grit and determination. Well done Hoo Hoo and Bong Gu ! 👍👍👏😁😘💖💖💖🐶🐾🐾
