What Park Sihoo-ssi revealed at the press conference during his KBS “My Golden Life” Commemorative Broadcast events in Shinjuku, Japan was most telling.

One thing he shed light on was his deep trust and respect for Writer So Hyunkyung. When she approached him to take on the male lead role of Choi Dokyung in KBS drama “My Golden Life”, he agreed almost immediately without even reading the script! Why? Because he believes in her.

Similarly, it was reported in earlier Korean news that Writer So specifically chose Park Sihoo-ssi and that the Choi Dokyung character was written with him in mind.  Both worked together in an earlier drama “Prosecutor Princess” which went on air in 2010. Their chemistry must have been amazing for them to have such mutual trust and respect for each other.

They made magic in “Prosecutor Princess”, weaving a tale that took on audiences around the world, particularly in Japan, where the drama continues to be repeatedly broadcast even to this day.

The recent KBS drama “My Golden Life” reinforced that their mutual trust and respect are well grounded. They again proved to be a winning combination, contributing to the team that broke new grounds for KBS. The drama broke through the wall of 40% audience rating a number of times, an achievement the broadcaster has not seen in about 5 years.

Writer So Hyunkyung and Actor Park Sihoo-ssi should congratulate themselves that their mutual trust and respect have once again been a powerful driver in delivering another exceptionally brilliant piece of work. A drama so well received and much appreciated by the Korean audience and so many more around the world.

I certainly hope to have more opportunities to watch again the work of this winning duo! Thank you for the many hours of thought provoking, emotional stirring and highly engaging drama actions!
