I know Park Sihoo-ssi and his Buyeo pup Bonggu’s adventures in Canada and their series on Channel A “Amazing Journey with Pets 개밥주는남자 – 개묘한여행” are over. But somehow, when something touches you so much, there will be a reluctance to let go and that lingering feeling will go on for a long time. I am so glad Channel A decided to do this series. Thank you for giving us this amazing program!
Episode 12, the last episode, as usual was really interesting. But it touched me more than the rest of the episodes. Or maybe it was because each episode while so uniquely different, was building up to this heartwarming emotions that crescendoed at the very end.

Park Sihoo-ssi summarised it saying that the series appeared to be about growing up, Bonggu’s growing up from a pup to an adult (a man). The choice of Canada as his journey with Bonggu let them do things they wouldn’t have done back home. And Hyeong is so proud of Bonggu.
I dare venture to add. It was not only about Bonggu’s growing up. It was about Park Sihoo-ssi and Bonggu growing up together. The experiences and the bonding, these times they had together, growing up, growing close. And then after this journey, growing old together despite one being in Seoul and the other in Buyeo. That relationship that they built while travelling on this amazing journey will never be forgotten, I am sure. Much treasured, so precious! So heartwarming! So endearing!

While we’ve been making noise that Hyeong was stingy not giving Bonggu any of their yummy human food, well as it revealed in this last episode, the main reason is more because of the seasoning sauces or salt and pepper that had been added which are not desirable for dogs’ diet. Bonggu finally got to taste the trout meat and as Bonggil was saying that part of the fish has had no salt added, and Bonggil so very kindly removing every fish bone before giving it to Bonggu. Bravo to PSH & Bonggil!

It’s been the greatest reality tv show ever😍👏👍❤️🐶🐕❤🎊🎉
After my comments all about pet pooches, I should not forget to mention in this last episode, that ultimate pure joy exhibited on PSH’s face when he caught one trout. As he said it’s his 1st experience of catching a fish, the feel of it etc etc, is such a pure excitable joy. We have seen the many things PSH and Bonggil did throughout their Canadian journey, many are their 1st experience too, yet, this one, successfully catching one fish, yes, all it takes is to catch one at least and that’s rewarding enough. I can really feel the happiness PSH & Bonggil when it comes to this. Over the years, whenever my hb had the chance to go fishing (he doesn’t get to do this often), several trips end with nothing. Finally 2 months ago when he successfully caught fishes, he kissed that 1st caught fish. I suppose “gone fishing” and “smell the roses” are two very important things we human should remind ourselves to engage as much as we could. Doesn’t need much else.
The remark as made by PSH about Bonggu’s growing, no doubt is spot on for all the episodes that lasted in Canada. Nevertheless Nance, you have made the appropriate summation, that it is not just Bonggu’s growing there and then. It will continue to imprint that strong bond between Hyeong and Bonggu, into their future years, together til they grow old. Bonggil too, the 3 of them share this very special experiences and bond that no 4th person could feel exactly how they feel. With each and every beloved pet we pet lovers experienced, each is unique and most treasured in its very own way, not any other pet will yield that similar feeling about this one and very unique life journey with one particular pet. To each and every pet who came into our lives, here’s my tribute to all these great souls. To those pets who have passed on, may their beautiful purest souls be eternally cherished and remembered. 🐕💞While typing here, my pooch is making loud noises in his dream under my desk by my feet, after the pooch has had a big morning activities including an hour walk venturing to new roads which he was reluctant to thread on initially, but after he was allowed sometime to think about it, he took it on happily. Such is currently my personal experience of my nearly 6 months old growing up puppy Rex. It is indeed most heart warming and endearing, everyday there’s something new…….and the concerns and adrenaline hike when something alarming happened……like when PSH realised Bonggu had just jumped the canoe, in my case, an example is when our pooch had followed the trail of his dad’s moving ute, ran off to the main street…..safely brought back by people on the street who know us …..and told me that your Rex crossed that busy main street near the supermarket…..Phew.
