Babel Ep 9: Open warfare

I have just finished watching episode 9. Phew…….if episode 8 is so compact with the many turning points, episode 9 is even more powerful with the mastery of injection of words/lyrics and appearances just at the right moment, and delivered those ooomp impact to a viewer like me. There are so much to talk about episode 9 having just turned off my screen. The one I want to say to release the ooomph that I felt is Tae Yura, certainly is her mother’s daughter. The same make, the same blood, the same type. Babel, you are just brilliant! Absolutely absolutely my cup of tea!

I couldn’t get to follow BABeL very well last night – the broadcast kept breaking up and stalled and repeated! So frustrating, but reading so much ravings about how specially excellent was Episode 9 – by hook or by crook I am going to get to view it. BABEL is simply too brilliant to miss out any episode any scene any dialogue!

Episode 9 is so good! So very good! For me, been a while that so much satisfaction and adrenaline can be derived from one episode of a serial drama. So very well done the production, the cast, the performance, the story, the sequence of how more things/thoughts are revealed, the setting, the costumes, etc etc. Most of all the short and succinct lyrics each carries tonnes of weight, aided by those deep meaning looks and body language. It is only in episode 9 that CWH now sees more light of the mystery, that the person who is behind the helicopter accident wanted both father and son dead, and since TMH did not die, hence the immediate murder the next day, and the highest suspect of both is none other than Mrs Tae, the obvious but so far much ignored lead in investigation. I mean this was how CWH was thinking in episode 9. This is not what and how I am thinking as a viewer. Tae Yura, as I have commented on your earlier 2 articles : Nam Nam couple and Barking the wrong tree, is very interesting to watch how she shows her true colour of a Tae. As you said, now Tae Yura might even turned against CWH blinded by the flames of her jealousy.When HJW returned the tight slab on Tae Yura, that brought my absolute satisfaction and enjoyment of episode 9 to grand finale. I applauded when HJW returned the slab within the next second and replied in quick and no hesitation that the baby is my baby, nothing to do with Geosan or you. Bravo such a sharp rebuttal towards this onnie who just came charging into her room with fury, who do you think you are to come reprimand on me huh? I am done with you family, remember? My baby is my baby. But now the suspense we got to wait til episode 10 is if the baby survives. And, So many more mysterious pieces to uncover still : what is that sharp weapon Ricky blackmailed Mrs Tae to pay double what TMH intended to pay? Why Mrs Tae’s brother was so worried when he heard that his sister wanted to make him Managing Director in Geosan when Suho becomes the President. His face suddenly turned grim. Plus at this point, my gut feel is saying to me Tae Yura’s assistant, might one day turns to help HJW because he was HJW’s fan…..as he has questioned his boss couple of times why are you zooming onto HJW, is there something you uncovered…..hmm….every word anyone said in Babel all could be the clue to their subsequent behaviours
