I didn’t think there would be an episode 16 preview as it will be the final episode and most producers will not let the cat out of the bag for the finale. But I was wrong! Nothing has been expected so far for TV Chosun’s drama “Babel 바벨”, not even the finale!
It will be battle to the end…and I am sure there will still be alot of twists and turns! Will Mrs Tae be able to turn the table around to her advantage after losing the battle of the board? Will Park Sihoo-ssi’s Cha Woohyuk be able to save the woman he loves and can their love continue to bloom and grow? Will they have a chance to live a happy life together? So whose baby is Han Jungwon carrying? Hahaha! 😂I am sure some of the audience just cannot let go finding out until the very end!
Don’t miss the finale of TV Chosun’s “Babel 바벨” tonight! 2250h Korean time! I will be there waiting anxiously to watch this thriller of a suspense melodrama battle to a dramatic end!

Those with the say for BABEL have the confidence to reveal even the preview of the final episode! Its not likely what we think the preview hints at. Thats why BABEL makes a great watch! Be prepared for an explosive rivetting end! But for certain it will be a case of good triumphing over evil; the game’s over for wicked Mother Tae; and a sweet ending for those who seek for real love and real living. And finally we get to know who fathered the baby in HJW’s womb!
From this preview, Mrs Tae’s killer didn’t seem to have waiver a bit. He is carrying out her orders to the end. Those moments of reflection in the mirror and the “questioning” of her if she really wanted him to act on her order, both seems to be just slight deflection to viewers to make all sorts of guesses.
Best scene of episode 15 is Tae Suho’s at the Chairman election meeting. THAT, no one ever guessed before hahaha. Bravo Bravo Bravo! Tae Suho I really really applause you! Marvellous. I thought his looking at his sister’s seat (and his earlier conversation he said to his sister he wants her to be there at that meeting, and he wanted to call his sister before getting into the car) these all meant half his plan could not be carried out that day. My guess is he thinks his sister is more suited than him to lead Geosan. So the preview of “tomorrow there will be BIG CHANGE”, this is it. Tae Suho, Bravo Bravo Bravo! He closed that speech that was prepared which is not needed for the result he needed, and lead viewers including me to think that he must be so into how he wanted to lead Geosan that he already have all the convincing things to say in his head, there is no need to look at the written speech. Nuh.How ingenious this twist of Babel. Big Big Applause! And I bet majority of both those present at the meeting and we all viewers had never been that satisfied with this blow to Mrs Tae, absolutely discreetly orchestrated by Suho, after he convinced his PA to be on his side, instead of his mother’s side.
HJW & CWH have no wall in between their understanding of each other’s love, in episode 15, she is clear of his love and no longer doubted/misunderstood him. So this part we can breathe relief, and her head came clear so very quickly without much further lingering toxic fed by TYR, the moment she witnessed how CWH is trying to rescue her. HJW’s heart (intended donation) is the main reason for the many “weird/ dark secrets” that had attracted viewers’ suspicion of the real HJW. I don’t understand how the promise can be struck between HJW and TMH’s PA that HJW’s heart transplant is the object of their private deal, WHEN, HJW’s went into the deal/promise her aim was to get her out of TMH’s claws, surely if your aim is to seek freedom, you still yearn for a life, but when you trade your heart for the freedom, what does that mean? You didn’t want to live anyway? Even when they 1st met at the cafe, she was still saying she will keep her promise…….and within less than half an hour, she touched her stomach and thought she needed to go back to tell the PA about her pregnancy……This is not logical and not consistent to me…hmmm…..have I missed something? At that point, I thought it was say kidney donation, without one kidney we can still live on, I thought then HJW suddenly remember she needed to tell the PA that the kidney transplant will need to wait til she delivered her baby……By giving the PA that promise of donating her heart, we cannot continue to live without our heart, so, she struck a deal to be dead? Then why the need to fight TMH for freedom? As CWH’s recalled HJW attempt to leave at that arrest scene, he came to realise her leaving wasn’t about running from her crime of killing TMH, but running to protect her own heart, the physical heart, which is also protection to her baby in her body that needs her heart. …..Not making much sense after my this morning 1st viewing of episode 15
I don’t see it anywhere in Episode 15 that there was a mention that she was donating her heart? Wuyi suffers from renal failure and she needed a transplant. The trade was for Secretary Wu to help her escape from TMH. She didn’t ask him to kill TMH but he did. So she said there was no deal. Also she found out she was pregnant and as time when by, she wanted to keep the baby and that was why she renagaded on their deal.
Park Sihoo-ssi 박시후-씨 朴施厚君 心衰竭 = heart failure is the translation I saw. 心衰竭 came up twice in episode 15, it is mentioned by the long hair police lady in her search of background of PA and his wife. Later it (the same “heart failure” translation) was related to CWH in his chase after the kidnap. If Renal = kidney =肾 , then it will make sense that HJW would have agreed to help if medical tests matched, as I said all along I thought it was kidney. HOWEVER, if it is renal which makes sense on the deal (I understand the deal wasn’t about about killing TMH, nevertheless, the deal was if PA could help her be freed, and if medical tests matched, HJW will donate), renal DOES NOT make sense why need to be done ILLEGALLY, I mean why the doctor had to be threatened to give PA a contact to do it illegally. Kidney can be done openly with the wife’s doctor himself, (PA does not know of her preganancy until kidnap, so what’s the reason the main stream doctor refused operation and had to be force to illegally give illegal doctor’s contact?). Heart transplant of course cannot be performed on living humans that’s the reason the doctor cannot do it legally. So heart explains why illegal operation had to be sought because you can only transplant a heart from a recently dead body, not a living human. While renal /kidney explains how on earth HJW could say “if tests matched, then let’s do that.”, but it doesn’t explain why the doctor (before knowing the donor is pregnant) would refused to do the operation.
Chai Hua Loke The Chinese translation might be inaccurate? Th reason why illegal is because Wuyi is an illegal immigrant.
Park Sihoo-ssi 박시후-씨 朴施厚君 yes. I have expressed my view about this illegal immigrant thing in your this morning article
For actors, the defining word is “EXCELLENCE”.
But there were moments that gave me the feeling that the director for whom I have all the admiration could have done more.
A great Romanian poet explained the perfection by giving the example of a cube carved by an artist in a perfect way, and then, when the work was done, the artist crushed a corner so that the viewers exclaimed: What a perfect cube it was if he did not have a broken corner! That’s how I can say about this drama, because nothing is perfect in this world.
To refer only to Episode 15: CWH saving HJW on the pedestrian crossing and then pursuing the kidnapper were extraordinarily directed scenes, and filming the fight on the highway with the drone was surprising. But all of the accumulated tension it lost a little bit of intensity at the end of the fight, when I expected CWH to take HJW and get into the car in a hurry to get out of danger as soon as possible. Or maybe the director wanted that slowing of action symbolically to emphasize the moment of separation of the two lovers (temporar or forever?). Considering that Babel abounds in symbolism, it may be an explanation.
A question: does the edge of a card even cut a thick rope in a record time? And another one: HJW was tied in the same way both by a kidnapper (in ambulance) and by the other (in the cage). Is this a “modus operandi” of kidnappers?
And a regret: in the drama did not see the whole CWH’s “black panther jump” (my full admiration and all the applauses for PSH) that I was lucky to see it in all its splendor, in the making movie, which it was then deleted (and replaced with the message bonbangsasu).
I forgot to also bring up my doubt that that card could cut such a thick rope, yes, now that you brought it up. It was the same thought in my head. But I was so deep in trying to understand the logic of how HJW could have said to TMH’s PA about ” let’s do the test to see if suitable (for the transplant, which had kept us guessing all these while, and episode 15 revealed it is her heart that the PA wanted to do illegal transplant!! ) I am more confused how can this be logical – if she has agreed to giving her heart,it means she never cared if she could live on, she would rather die, then why need PA help to free her from TMH? if the deal is to donate her heart? Because of this bigger puzzle, I forgot about if the card can cut that thick rope within the few hours in a day, if it had been say 7 days maybe it can cut that size of the rope, but not within a few hours in a day was what I thought. Never mind, that’s is a smaller unconvincing thing compared to the heart transplant deal that HJW had prior agreed to, that really bugs me. I had always thought it was her kidney that she will donate and because of pregnancy, the operation had to wait and that’s the reason she apologised to the PA’s wife for unable to help her (I thought it was “unable to help you, yet” kind of meaning, even the word “yet” wasn’t said). Regarding that scene where CWH ought to quickly take HJW away after fighting off the PA, I don’t have objection to how the PD has handled it, because logically in CWH’s mind, the kidnapper has been beaten, there was no other ally to this kidnap, hence it is far more important to clear the air of misunderstanding with HJW the moment they had a chance to say something to each other.
Chai Hua Loke You are right, the kidnapper has been beaten, there was no other ally to this kidnap. The appearance of the other kidnappers was absolutely surprising. And yet my impression remains what I have said before. If not to get away from danger, at least to ensure HJW’s health, leading her to a hospital or a quieter place. I suppose she was trembling and the legs did not hold, and such a great scare could have unfortunate consequences for her pregnancy. This scene was like a farewell to them.
Daniela Maria Miricescu CWH’S 1st words were “are you alright?, she replied she’s alright. Then only he proceeded to talk about the thing more urgent to his mind that’s the thing that when he last wanted to see her in prison she refused him. She has unfinished words something rather important in this scene in episode 15 which she was cut off…..that gives me the hunch that this won’t be a farewell scene
Daniela Maria Miricescu my regret too why CWH ‘s awesome black panther jump executed to perfection wasn’t used in the drama? Sigh 😔
