Park Sihoo to star in Korean drama “Neighborhood Hero”
This afternoon, news broke on Park Sihoo-ssi’s new drama, 동네의영웅 “Neighborhood Hero”. Here is some information to add a little more color to that simple message I wrote in a hurry earlier.
“Neighborhood Hero” is directed by Kwak Junghwan who also directed successful dramas such as “The Slave Hunters”, “Fugitive Plan B”, “Hometown Legends: Return of the Gumiho” and “Basketball”.
It is an espionage drama that is set close to real, everyday life. Park Sihoo will be playing an ex-secret agent, Baek Siyoon, who is a highly trained human weapon. After being discharged from service, to hide from his past, he bought and ran a neighborhood bar. He became close to his bar regulars and empathized with their problems and concerns.
He met a young man who became his part time employee. This young man has an ambition to become a police officer. Baek Siyoon trained him as a secret agent and together they fought the evil in their neighborhood.
The drama will start shooting in September 2015 and is scheduled to be aired in 2016 on Orion Cinema Network or OCN for short. OCN is owned by CJ Entertainment and Media Group.
朴施厚演“邻家英雄”
