This morning when I saw that cover page of the November 2015 Chinese edition of the K-Wave magazine, the word “intensity” popped into my mind and so well personified by that expressive pose of Park Sihoo-ssi. What a great transformation! There was totally no trace of the smiling prince we know so well.
I love it!
The dark, brooding, intense side of Park Sihoo-ssi, the mystery man whom one just cannot fathom or figure. The piercing intensity of his eyes as they focused at attention. Face so serious, you can’t discern the twitch of a muscle, can’t tell what he thinks and feels. Exactly what the persona of a secret agent should be.
And yet, so chic and suave, exuding his immense masculine charm that you can’t help but be drawn, like a butterfly to the flame. What is most dangerous has the most appeal.
Park Sihoo-ssi, definitely intensity personified!
What transformation! What contrast! This morning’s article of Park Sihoo-ssi with the charm of a brilliant smile. Now, Park Sihoo-ssi, intensity personified!

cool. Always start the day with the body to the mind healthy and we will be delighted at the happy hours or send. “Cheer always love you.”
I respect your opinion that the cover photo on K WAVE magazine of PSH reveals a total transformation from a smiling person to a mysterious, impenetrable , hidden, covert one. With his stern look, frowning and gloomy, looking older than he is, this is not my favourite photo of PSH. I like the other photos inside the magazine looking so imposing, with a masculin vigour, elegant like a lord, very natural and as you say :”chic, suave…. masculine charm.” Maybe from now on we must get accustomed to his new transformation into a “PSH , intensity personified!”.
I don’t like that thick coat of darker than his natural complexion powder on these K Wave photos. Just like how I dislike his hair colour dyed. His natural dark thick shinny black hair and flawless fair complexion is perfect. Any deviation is waste of money energy time to put them on and not green living. Skin protection and nourishment products yes I support but to alter too far from his natural looks not my cup of tea. My top like of his many facial expressions has to be the cold smirk while casting that knowing look where you can see from his eyes he knows heaps more than he reveals. This facial expression of him I see a lot in Confession of Murder and Que en of Reversals. especially in QOR when the whole board room went on rattling off main point he innocently punctured the many discussions with “by the way….why the most obvious blame not being discussed at all…?”
Having said the above about make up I do like him when he looks serious and intense, as much as when he smiles or frowns or winks or puzzled, startled, crying, yawning, slurring when drunk, pleading with curl lips with practised cuteness, breathe down the female lead after he pin her to the wall followed by piercing eyes and very low tone of challenge speech etc etc that you could describe or put words on , all these different look is the full package of Park SiHoo, should not come with any of them being minus out.
I like the transformation into a look that I have not seen of Park Sihoo-ssi previously – edgy, mature, intense. A look fit for a spy. Being versatile, even in stills, adds depth to him as an actor and I think this is important especially now. He needs a breakthrough, too many young actors snapping at his heals for the romantic man roles. They may not be as good as him, ever, but it is time Park Sihoo-ssi moves away from that and take on fresh challenges. My favourite Park Sihoo-ssi will always be that boyish, happy, smiley man, one who is so personal and communicates with his heart.
Now I see what you meant. I thought he already had done heaps of such intense looks before? No? I thought I saw such look in Ijimae advertisement, the serie which he hardly speaks but often intensely looking and observing. Sorry I went on blabbing about how much I don’t like the thick darker than his usual fair skin powder on his face. Well it’s my personal taste and a fan’s feedback I suppose. Actually I am with you, not only that time and tide wait for no man where so many younger K boys star will reap the romantic male role, by now the mature fans might already be sick of watching only romantic roles by PSH drama, it got to be all inclusive. I mentioned I so look forward to watch Confession of Murder from the very beginning even I am a rather new fan had only discover PSH on 22 August this year, having seen QOR, followed by PP, the mystery that excites me next was how would he be in Confession of Murder, and YES I was not disappointed, the movie delivered everybit of a good movie good story good acting good cinematography etc etc. So yes, now I know what you meant, intensified persona, secret agent Park Si Hoo UP AND COMING NEXT, YAY!!!! After that I would like to see him do a complete comedy, a full spectrum of just comedy movie or a short comedy drama……that will be most fantastic
what is written in the magazine?
See today’s post…on Teaser by K-Wave. Hope it gave you a gist of what is said 🙂 Enjoy! Happy weekend!
